BIOS relies on the support of the Bermuda Government in order to develop and successfully implement its research and education programs.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources: funds both the Air Quality Program and Marine Environmental Program (MEP) at BIOS.

Department of Education: partners in the Curriculum Enrichment Program and the Mid-Atlantic Robotics IN Education (MARINE) program, which includes classroom toolkits and professional development opportunities.
