Michael Hamer, PhD

Michael Hamer is a Partner and Senior Analyst with Albourne Partners Limited, a leading investment consulting firm. Michael has a B.Sc(Hons) from the University of Melbourne and a D.Phil from University of Oxford in Mathematics and Economics. He then spent fifteen years with JP Morgan in a variety of roles and locations before joining Centre Reinsurance in London and then Bermuda, where he was part of a group of reinsurers that supported the Risk Prediction Initiative set up by BIOS. In 2000 Michael set up his own consulting firm, and in 2005 joined Albourne Partners full-time. His main focus is on researching and advising Albourne clients on Insurance-linked funds.
