BIOS Takes Part in Bermuda Championship Charity Program

A unique fundraising program, the Bermuda Championship Birdies for Charity program, was launched earlier this summer benefitting charities on the island of Bermuda. The program will provide up to a 10% match on every donation, with all funds raised going directly to the organizations involved.

Danielle Baiunco, Tournament Director of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, said: “Last year, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship raised nearly $650,000 for almost 50 charities. This was an amazing achievement but our goal is to build on that success.”

Contributions can also be made by participating in the BF&M Volunteer Program, which provides more than 500 volunteers for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Event from Monday, October 24 through Sunday, October 30, 2022. For each volunteer that works three shifts during the event, a donation of $200 will be made to the charity of the volunteer’s choosing. There are 17 committees offering volunteer positions, including gallery management, walking scorers, TV spotters, merchandise, Pro-Am, and product distribution. (There are also select positions available for students between the ages of 13 and 17 for those who require service hours!)
